Tullahoma Tractor and Equipment, Inc. is located in Tullahoma, TN, at the intersection of Highways 41A and 55, only 12 miles from Interstate 24 (exit 111). We have been importing, servicing, and selling small tractors from this location for more than seven years.

We are direct importers of pre-owned Japanese compact diesel tractors. Most of the tractors we purchase were manufactured by Yanmar. You may also occasionally find some of the more common Shibaura, Mitsubishi, Iseki and Hinomoto models included in our inventory. Our purchasing connections have been vital to our success and to our overall superior customer satisfaction. All the tractors we are offered are guaranteed to be in good mechanical running condition and are "graded" primarily on physical condition and appearance. We then choose the best model tractors with the higher grades, staying with the more popular models with ready parts availability. Even some specific models produced by the superior manufacturers above are more difficult to obtain parts for, our knowledge and experience assists us in selecting certain models, and avoiding others.

Our tractors typically arrive in a 40' container which includes 16 tractors and 16 tillers. Most of the tractors have been used primarily (and many exclusively) for rototilling operations. In Japan, there are many small farms, with each having a tractor. Used Japanese tractors generally show some cosmetic signs of age from exposure to the sun and weather, but have very little internal wear, as tilling is easy on the tractor. Most of the tractors have very low hours relative to diesel engines--this is because the fields are growing crops most of the time, and are tilled only a couple times each year.

The great majority of our inventory of tractors come directly from the rice fields and into our broker's yard, where they are inspected and graded as described above. Once we receive the tractors, they undergo an extensive inspection and service procedure. The process includes changing the fluids and filters, pressure testing the radiator, checking the hydraulics, clutch, brakes, etc. Our service staff is comprised of two trained and experienced mechanics and four technicians specializing in the servicing and detailing aspects. Some tractors are 2-point hitch, and we convert these to the standard 3-point setup to utilize category one implements. All our imported tractors have, at a minimum, a 30-day engine/power train warranty. We have found that by doing our own service to the tractors, our customers receive a product with a higher quality and trouble-free operation. We know "our tractors" and do typically not purchase units that have been "re-conditioned" by a third party.
